Pocket PC Cell Phones
I don’t know what has changed, but people seem to be obsessed with being constantly connected to their friends, jobs, family, and the internet. Everywhere you go, people are walking around with a phone glued to their ear or texting while they shop or have lunch. It isn’t just young people who are doing this. I am amazed to be grocery shopping and listening to grandmothers chatting away while they shop. If this sounds like you; pocket PC cell phones are the answer to your prayers.
These little devices will allow you to have everything at your fingertips. Of course, they are not as powerful as your desktop PC, but I was surprised at the number of things you can accomplish with a smart phone. I can certainly see how valuable they would be if you work outside of your office for a portion of the day. You can call up documents from your work PC, send and receive e-mail, fax, and stay in touch with everyone at the same time. I don’t have a smart phone, but I think I could get used to having things like GPS available. I get lost on a pretty regular basis. Did I mention that most of these pocket PC cell phones are equipped with a camera and video capabilities? You can take photos and send them to your home or office PC. The variety of software is just about endless. You can shop online, get the weather report, traffic reports, and play all kinds of games if you happen to have some down time.
If you think you might have to spend an arm and a leg to own one of these phones you will be pleasantly surprised to know that you can get one for a reasonable price. This is especially true if you go with a major carrier. Many of them will give you the phone if you purchase a contract. At the very least, they will be much less expensive than if you buy one outright from the manufacturer.
For those of you who are less technologically challenged than I am, a pocket PC cell phone is probably on your Christmas list if you don’t have one already. Even if you do, they are coming up with faster and better models every day. Even if you are on a no contract pay as you go plan, these phones are available. If I ever figure out how to use the very simple phone I have, just maybe I’ll think about a new one myself.
